Control a coding agent from your phone

Leave a task running on your computer. Use your phone to review its progress, answer a question or change direction without copying the conversation.

Before you start

Empryo on a powered, reachable macOS, Windows or Linux computer.
An iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch or Android beta companion. Request beta access through Discord.
A configured model provider on the computer; credentials stay with the host.

Choose a connection
Open /remote in the desktop app or terminal. Use Wi-Fi for the local network, Tailscale for your private network, or a quick relay link for internet access without a Tailscale account.
Check: Scan the pairing code. Approve the waiting device when using a quick link.
Pick up the existing work
Open the project and chat on the phone. Read the current steps, model output and usage before sending another instruction.
Check: You should see the same conversation, not a copy started on another machine.
Direct the next step
Answer an approval or send a steering message while the agent works. Use voice or an image when that explains the problem better. Review the resulting changes on the host.
Check: Confirm that the new instruction reaches the intended chat and that the relevant checks pass.

Phone and computer share a reachable local network.

Both devices can reach each other through your Tailscale network.

Pair over the internet without a Tailscale account; approve the device on the host.
