Empryo is an AI coding agent built on one conviction: code is a graph, not a pile of strings — and an agent that can see the graph makes better edits.
What Empryo is
Empryo runs in your terminal and as a desktop app. On launch it sequences your repository into the Genome — a live, usage-ranked dependency graph of files and symbols — then edits through the AST and the LSP instead of find-and-replace. It speaks 30+ languages, talks to 22 model providers, routes tasks across models per slot, and keeps a git-checkpoint time machine so any change can be rewound.
It is free to use: bring your own model API key or run local models. There is no account, no subscription, and no server between you and your model provider — your code goes only where you point it.
Where it came from
Empryo evolved from SoulForge — same organism, next genome. The lessons of SoulForge (string edits break code; agents need structure) became Empryo's founding design: symbols, not strings. Its sponsors and community carried forward.
Who builds it
Empryo is built by ProxySoul, an independent developer, in the open with a small community on Discord and X. The product tests itself before every release with an immune system of QA cells across macOS, Linux and Windows — see /immunity.
