Release notes
Projects and workspaces, everywhere
- Projects on every surface. The desktop app, the terminal and the phone list your projects and their workspaces, with tabs underneath. Open and switch workspaces from any of them.
- Projects in the terminal. A projects rail sits beside your tabs and folds into a column of project tiles when you need the room.
- Many engines per project. Run several engines in one project and join any of them from the desktop, the terminal or the phone.
- Bring another window into this one. Its tabs and history come along.
- Chats grouped by project on your phone, with subprojects when you want them.
Tabs that work together
- Child tabs. A tab can open a child tab for a side task. The child reports back and is shown under its parent everywhere.
- Tabs talk to each other. A tab can message another, ask it a question and get the answer back. The project tree lights up when tabs message each other.
- Tabs know where the others are. You can see if another tab is in the same checkout, a worktree or a different project.
- Skills per tab. A skill you load only applies to that tab. A child tab starts without skills, and its parent is told so.
- Tabs close only when told. A closing tab finishes its background work first, and a handover never closes a tab with unread messages.
Use Empryo inside your editor
- Empryo in Zed and T3 Code. Any editor that supports the Agent Client Protocol (ACP) can now run Empryo as its coding agent.
- Set it up in one click. Open Settings, then ACP, and press Set up Zed or Set up T3 Code. From the terminal, run
empryo acp setup zedorempryo acp setup t3. - The full agent in your editor. Pick a mode and effort, answer questions, and fork or delete sessions without leaving the editor.
Agent profiles
- Save a setup and switch to it in one step. A profile keeps the agent, model, mode, skills and limits together. Pick one from the profile picker, set a default, or start with
--profile. - Choose a session, workspace and profile from the start screen.
- Profiles on the iPhone too.
Phone and watch
- Take back a message before the agent reads it, from the phone, the terminal or the desktop.
- No alerts while you are at the computer. The phone stays quiet for chats you already have open.
- Notifications open the right chat right away, even when the app was closed.
- Organise chats by folder, collapse groups and hide idle ones. A bar shows the chats waiting on you.
- Answers on Android can be selected and copied, and follow your system colours.
Models and usage
- See when fast mode is on. A lightning mark appears next to the model name.
- Custom request headers for any provider or model.
- New plan meters for Gemini Code Assist and Cursor. Each composer shows the quota for its own model.
- Claude usage stays visible, even when Anthropic limits the usage check.
- Usage in the terminal now opens with tables by day and by model.
Languages and skills
- Simplified Chinese is now available in the desktop app and the terminal.
- See which skills you use. The skills panel shows how often each skill is used.
Lighter requests
- Less repeated text sent to the model. Code map updates only cover files the model already knows about, and only what changed.
- Better prompt caching on every provider, including custom ones.
- Shorter tool output. Long background reports start with a short summary and link to the full text.
Desktop
- Mute the built-in browser.
- Drag the composer up to fill the chat.
- Turn off automatic git snapshots with a new switch. It also works in the terminal.
- Background blur is now optional.
- Files an agent creates are grouped per tab.
- Chat tables show every row without an extra scrollbar.
- Typing and streaming stay smooth even with many tabs open.
Terminal
- Long replies show as formatted Markdown again.
- The orchestration workbench is now in the terminal.
- Every finished turn shows its time and cost.
- The first prompt after
/clearnames the tab again. - Prompts you type during a compaction run when it finishes.
Fixes
- Undo now restores files changed by a shell command.
- Chrome tabs opened by computer use stay in the background.
- Switching ChatGPT accounts works right away.
- A broken custom header no longer crashes Empryo.
- Proxy settings now reach the commands the agent runs.
- The code map recovers by itself after a failed scan.
